Michelle Katz

Michelle Katz founded The Truth Films in 2018. She is the former VP of Production for Ovation TV where she was instrumental in the launch of their original programming studio and oversaw unscripted productions from 2013-2015.

A seasoned documentary producer/line producer, and TV executive Michelle’s credits include Trial 4, the eight-part Boston-based true crime documentary series (Netflix), Waiting For Superman (Davis Guggenheim), as well as hundreds of hours of content across multiple networks and studios, such as Discovery, MTV, History Channel, and large-scale VFX films for Disney.

The Truth Films is in development on several social impact projects including The Plant, a six-part series, originally in partnership with Lionsgate TV, focused on transformational healing stories taking place in the Amazon Jungle. Additionally, we are in development on #deathspray, a 6 part true crime eco-series documenting the use of the controversial herbicide glyphosate and the companies that profit from it.

Michelle is also an accomplished songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, abstract painter, and non-fiction essayist. She is currently a contributing writer for The New Earth Almanac and writes about all things inspirational, transformational and new earth focused.
